Agenda Welcome and Introductions We will start off by stating off with some housekeeping notes, PHP in the news and followed by a round of introductions. Overview of the Apostrophe Now 1.0 CMS - Robert Speer Apostrophe Now is a CMS with a editing style very different from Joomla or Drupal & it's based on both Symfony & Zend with the Doctrine ORM so many of you will already know how to work with it's internals. Break Time Get something to drink, talk amongst yourselves, meet some others. Scalable Architecture 101 - Mike Willbanks What does it mean to really scale? What design considerations should you keep in mind? What are the best practices? How does it work from moving to a single server environment to a distributed environment? This talk will focus on answering these questions, providing examples, services and software that can help with scalability Please Note This meetup will start at 6:00PM - 8:30PM.
